There are some who believe that God and love are one and the same.
Maybe that is so. And certainly love has helped save and heal many. But love can be a very elusive thing, when hearts get hardened by death, sorrow, anger, fear, or distrust.
So how would Christ treat the Arabs and Semites of the Middle East? And what would he think of our slow march towards chaos there? There are many devote Christians who choose to quote words from the Old Testament, when it comes to addressing our brothers in Mesopotamia. They quote harsh words from a time before Christ was even born. Words like, "An eye for an eye, and a tooth for a tooth." Why is this, when the Old Testament also tells us, "He executes justice for the orphan and the widow, and shows His love for the alien by giving him food and clothing. So show your love for the alien."
Too frequently the bumper sticker "God Bless America" can be seen in the United States. But WWJDnow thinks Jesus would say "God bless us all, no exceptions!". He would not place any race, creed, or color above the rest, so why should we? Some of you will say it is because we are defending ourselves, but all who are willing to be truthful to themselves know that we can no more blame all Arabs for 9-11, then we can blame all Christians for the Oklahoma City bombings.
